At Marina Mall in Salmiya they opened up a new frozen yogurt place called SNOG. Personally, I’m not that big a fan of frozen yogurt, but what enticed me to try SNOG is that the awesome employees kindly came up to me and gave me a sample. It tasted good so I decided to go ahead and order a cup of frozen yogurt.

I got a medium cup regular yogurt flavor with 3 toppings. It cost KD 2.600. It’s normally KD 2.750 but they have a special where you get a discount. I got strawberry, banana, and dark chocolate shavings for my toppings.

They serve your cup with a special metal SNOG spoon, which I thought was a cool thing, but the metal is so thin on the spoon that it soon started irritating the sides of my lips and I grabbed a regular plastic spoon soon after.

It tasted great. The yogurt itself didn’t taste like conventional yogurt and had a tiny punch too it. The fruits were fresh and the dark chocolate didn’t taste bitter. I think next time though I’ll be going with a smaller cup since the medium was a bit much.

What’s cool about frozen yogurt compared to ice cream is that there is no fat and no artificial sweeteners. Plus the majority of the toppings you can get are fresh fruits, so in a sense its healthy. After having my medium cup I didn’t feel guilty about it.
I liked the SNOG yogurt but I didn’t like the price. I can get 2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone at Baskin Robins for KD 1.100 but a medium cup of frozen yogurt with 3 toppings is KD 2.600? I can’t wrap my head around why frozen yogurt would cost so much. Does it cost to be healthy?
I would go there again but I’d get a small cup with one topping.
